REVIEW: Empower by Jessica Shirvington

WARNING SOME SPOILERS

Hey there it's Vionna and in this post I'll be reviewing Empower by Jessica Shirvington

Empower is the 5th and last book of The Violet Eden series. Let's just say that the first 4 books of the series were fantastic and I enjoyed reading it.

Here's a picture of the book.

Reading Empower I found that it was a really interesting book and that Shirvington wrote in a way that we felt we were in the main character, Violet, shoes. There's a lot of suffering and sadness that the main character Violet goes through for most of the book and most of it is because she can't be with her Grigori partner and soul-mate Lincoln. As I read the book I can definitely feel for her and I genuinely wanted her to have a happy ending.

Honestly I think that the story is a bit cliched. A young girl having a crush on a guy who's a tad to old for her and thinking that he wouldn't like her back. Then it turns out that the guy likes her back but for some extravagant reason them two can't be together, then there's lots of complication and hurt involved but always, always at the end they are together.

It's not like I don't enjoy reading those stories. I love romances like this that have adventure and some supernatural component in it but whenever I pick up these kind of books I kind of know what's going to happen at the end.

Shivington ends and ties up the series pretty well even though there was a little tint of sadness at the end.

In conclusion I think that the book Empower is a great book that ties up the Violet Eden series but it's a bit cliched. I would definitely tell recommend this book to people.

Rating of this book: 7/10
